
Bina Bangsa University (UNIBA) has once again demonstrated its commitment to strengthening the internationalization of higher education through the implementation of International Community Service in Malaysia and Singapore on February 9–12, 2026. This activity is part of the implementation of the Tridharma Perguruan Tinggi (Three Pillars of Higher Education), specifically Community Service (PKM) on an internationalscale.
The UNIBA delegation was led by the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Dr. Andi Hasryningsih Asfar, S.Pt., S.Pd., M.Si., and was carried out through strategic collaboration with the Indonesian Lecturers Association (IDRI) of Banten Province. This synergy represents the strengthening of regional ASEAN academic networks, institutional capacity building, and the development of entrepreneurship based on international practices through cross-institutional collaboration.
International Seminar at SEGi University
The series of activities began with an international seminar at SEGi University, Malaysia. This seminar served as a forum for the exchange of ideas and dissemination of knowledge among academics from various countries. The material presented focused on higher education innovation, strengthening academic culture, and strategies for increasing global competitiveness. This activity not only strengthened relations between institutions but also opened up opportunities for research collaboration and joint service.



Guest Lecture at Management and Science University (MSU)

The UNIBA delegation also participated in a guest lecture at Management and Science University (MSU). This guest lecture provided a global perspective to students and academics, particularly in dealing with the dynamics of education and the digital economy at the international level. Through this forum, knowledge transfer took place, enriching academic insights and expanding opportunities for institutional collaboration.
Industry Visit to Karangkraf Media Group

As part of strengthening entrepreneurial and creative industry insights, the delegation visited Kumpulan Media Karangkraf. This visit provided an understanding of branding strategies, media industry management, product innovation, and adaptation to global market needs. This experience became an important reference in encouraging the development of the creative economy and products based on local wisdom within UNIBA.
Exploration of Cooperation and Signing of Documents
During the visit, cooperation was explored and a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), Memorandum of Agreement (MoA), and Implementation Arrangement (IA) were signed with international partners, namely MSU and the Karangkraf Media Group. This cooperation covers the fields of education, research, and community service as a concrete step to expand the university’s global network.






Cross-Country SME Observation and Financial
The activity continued with a visit to Singapore to observe SME development practices, particularly in improving the quality of souvenir products for international tourists.
The delegation also conducted direct observations of financial transaction practices involving different currencies when shopping. This experience provided an understanding of exchange rate conversions, cross-border purchasing power, and the effectiveness of digital payment systems in supporting trade and tourism activities.
The results of these observations are expected to form the basis for recommendations in developing students’ local wisdom products to meet international quality standards and competitivenes.





Support and Appreciation from University Leadership
The Rector of Bina Bangsa University, Prof. DR. H. Bambang Dwi Suseno, SE., MM, expressed his appreciation for the implementation of this activity.
“This International Community Service is a strategic step in strengthening the position of Bina Bangsa University at the global level. International collaborations such as this will enhance the institution’s reputation while expanding opportunities for cooperation that will directly benefit lecturers and students,” he said.
In line with this, UNIBA Vice Rector I, Sigit Auliana, S.Kom., M.Kom, emphasized that
this activity is part of the campus internationalization roadmap.
“We encourage lecturers and students to be active in global networks. This activity is not
just a visit, but a long-term academic investment to improve the quality of learning, research, and community service,” he explained.
The Dean also stated that this activity will be followed up through the implementation of
collaborative programs, including faculty and student exchanges, joint research, and the development of entrepreneurship based on international practices.
Through this International Community Service activity, Bina Bangsa University reaffirms its commitment as an adaptive, collaborative, and globally oriented institution. The collaboration with the Indonesian Lecturers Association of Banten Province is a strategic step in strengthening the academic capacity and
competitiveness of the institution in the international arena.
